| being remedied by changing subframe bushings, or any bushings for that matter I'm willing to bet something simply wasn't aligned right when whoever installed the polyurethane bushings put the subframe back in, and when you put it all back together after swapping to OEM subframers, that the mis-alignment was remedied. Basically it had nothing to do with your bushings. Reason I say this is I spent God knows how much time chasing a driveline vibration after switching to a 1-pc driveshaft. Tried every clock position, and it turned out after I de-torqued & re-torqued everything I could put a wrench on that was within 3 parts of the driveshaft (motor mounts, trans mount, trans bolts, subframe bolts, diff bolts, etc) the vibration magically went away despite nothing I torqued down being noticeably loose. Having done the ES kit on both a TT and an NA, I never got any sort of clunk. The ride is firmer, sure, but the difference is mild in comparison to switching to SPL/Powertrix type coilovers from a stock or eibach suspension setup
